Greenfield Youth Football and Cheer Program

2024 GYFCP Football Registration

Welcome

2024 Greenfield Youth Football Registration

The Greenfield Youth Football and Cheer Program (GYFCP) is a co-ed, tackle football program, for all children in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, that live within the Greenfield School District boundaries (see Program Boundaries section below).  Led by a Board of Directors and volunteers, GYFCP is proud to be a member of the Wisconsin All American Youth Football League (AAYFL) organization.

Our goal is to have 3 Football teams for 2024:

  • 5th and 6th Grade
  • 7th Grade
  • 8th Grade

Registration Fees

The cost to register before June 1, 2024 is $285.00 per athlete.  (An Early Bird Discount will be automatically added to your cart when you checkout.) After June 1, 2024 the cost will be $350.00 per athlete.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available.

  • Payments are due in full this year. No payment plans.
  • There is an online processing fee of (3.0% + $1.50) per payment that will be added to the total of each sale.

ALL REGISTRATION FEES NEED TO BE PAID IN FULL BY THE FIRST PRACTICE. Unfortunately, we will need to reinforce this rule going forward due to past registrations not being paid in full. If there is an extenuating circumstance regarding cost/payment, please reach out to a member of the Board to assist you.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

What does GYFCP provide?

Each football athlete will receive the following borrowed equipment: helmet, chin strap, practice jersey and pants, game jerseys (home and away) and pants, a belt, and green game socks (we don't want the socks back!)

What do families need to provide?

Athletes will need to provide their own mouth guard with strap to attach to your helmet, 7-pad girdle, and non-metal football cleats. Soccer cleats are not the same as football cleats and are not acceptable.

  • Athletes can provide their own chin straps if they wish.
  • Sometimes coaches/families purchase pink game socks in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Your coaches will provide more information.

$300 Volunteer Fee CHECK (NOT CASHED)

A $300.00 volunteer fee CHECK will be due at equipment hand out. This check will be returned to you upon completion of your scheduled volunteer commitment. This needs to be a separate check as we will hold it all season until your volunteer requirements are fulfilled, and return it to you at equipment turn-in at the end of the season (or before, if time allows, once your volunteer commitment is fulfilled).

$450 Equipment Fee CHECK (NOT CASHED)

A $450.00 equipment fee CHECK will be due at equipment hand out. This check will be returned to you when all of our gear is returned at the end of the season. This needs to be a separate check as we will hold it all season until you return our equipment.

Unfortunately, in previous years, we've had families not return our gear. It is very costly to our program if we borrow out equipment and it doesn't get returned to us. The cost of the helmet alone is $400-500. Last year we purchased brand new uniforms for the program, which cost $100/uniform and also did not receive all of our uniforms back.

MANDATORY PROGRAM FUNDRAISER

Each year GYFCP will hold a mandatory fundraiser for all athletes. Fundraising is essential to keep our program registration cost low, and still be able to maintain our equipment from year to year. Parents must keep in mind that this is the athlete’s fundraiser and commitment to the program and encourage the athlete to be an active participant in this fundraiser. Options for fundraising vary each year. In 2023, families had the option to sell Milwaukee Co Pretzels, Krispy Kreme donuts, candy, or pay for a buy-out. Various payment options are accepted: cash, check (from the athlete's family), or Venmo.
